Lakeside Park is not just a great park itself. We have lots of exciting thing to do
and see in the surrounding areas. If you like to gamble a little or try to win a fortune, we have three Casinos you can choose from. The closest and just newly built is right here in Sallisaw. There is also a Cherokee Casino in Roland OK. a few miles West on I-40 and a Choctaw Casino with a very nice Buffet Restaurant at the south end of Ft. Smith. Just follow I-540 South until it turns into Hwy. 271, you can't miss it.

Blue Ribbon Downs is Oklahoma's oldest racing facility and first pari-mutuel race track. Located on 165 acres bordered on the south by I-40 and on the north by Highway 64, is only 20 miles west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, 101 miles southeast of Tulsa and 159 miles east of Oklahoma City. Blue Ribbon Downs is specially designed to offer fans close-up involvement in the sport...live racing as well as world class simulcasts. Blue Ribbon Downs features Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred, Appaloosa and Paint horse racing. A glass-enclosed Clubhouse overlooking both the track and action-packed Saddling Paddock offers fans year round comfort.

The park is located just ¾ of a mile from Robert S Kerr Lake and the Arkansas River where the fishing is great. Robert S Kerr Lake has 250 miles of shoreline and 43,800 surface acres. Robert S Kerr Lake on the Arkansas River Navigation System is another Oklahoma striper fishing hot spot.
